Overview
Welcome to The Indie Hacker Playbook.
This playbook is an opinionated compilation of documentation on how an Indie Hacker in Southeast Asia can get to $10k/month, written by @seantanyurong (opens in a new tab) (that's me).
This is not a course. I'm not trying to sell anything. Far from it. Rather, it's a living document of my personal processes, systems, templates and thoughts for how an Indie Hacker can achieve the goal of ramen profitability (or slightly beyond that).
Living Document: A document that will grow with my knowledge, and be progressively updated as I learn and experiment with new things.
I want to iterate that this is not meant to be a definitive guide, to be followed blindly. I personally haven't hit $10k/month yet. And I am far from knowing everything. However, what I can say is that this guide will be based on my personal experience and research in the trenches. And when I eventually do achieve $10k/month (yes, I'm naively confident it's a when, and not an if), I hope others can look back on this and see a fully developed roadmap, and framework that they can follow with ease, to achieve the same. In the mean time, I do still believe there is merit in some of the processes I implement, so adopt what you think makes sense and leave the rest.
The Content Roadmap
I believe your questions about the content roadmap can be split into two categories:
- What content can you expect to see?
- What frequency can you expect to see updates in the content?
Content Type
These are just some ideas I have in mind, but they are not limiting. There are quite a lot of things I'd like to document.

- Building in Public
- Getting your First Customers
- Types of Indie Projects

Content Frequency

Who is Sean?
That would be me, the author of this playbook. I'm a 24 y/o Indie Hacker from Singapore, a small country in Southeast Asia. Besides being an Indie Hacker, I'm also a Software Engineer at a company in San Francisco, tennis player, and Magic the Gathering enthusiast. You can learn a bit more about my past projects and goals on my website (opens in a new tab).
My goal is to retire by 35 in Southeast Asia, and to be able to work on fun retirement projects / hobbies.
Currently, I'm running The 100 Club (opens in a new tab) which is sitting at $900 MRR, and have earned $50k as a web developer on Upwork (opens in a new tab), with more business projects being built as you read this.
In general, I'm known to be a very operational and process-driven individual, that likes to keep both my professional and personal life organised and optimised, which is why I think this playbook will be a good alignment in values!
How do I stay updated?
