Building in Public

This section is about how Indie Hackers can grow a following online.

We've seen individuals like @levelsio (opens in a new tab), @marc_louvion (opens in a new tab), @yongfook (opens in a new tab) and many others do this successfully.

Their following has given them a competitive edge, allowing them to get their product in front of a large volume of eyes for free. This leads to results like ranking well in Product Hunt, which subsequently, leads to others outside of their initial audience viewing the product. It's a powerful tool.

One might argue that social platforms, like X have achieved a certain level of saturation of Indie Hacker-ish content, but it remains to be seen. I'll be keeping a lookout for up and coming Indie Hackers that show saturation is an excuse we tell ourselves.
